Sweeping Demands on Health Care, Pt.5 – Threats and opportunities.

Previous…

So there are the results from the, Public Views on U.S. Health Care System Organization: A Call for New Directions survey. They show that, not only were the respondents' dissatisfied with the current health insurance/care system overall, but they’re also frustrated with the way they currently get health care. At least 80% of the adults across income groups support efforts to improve the health insurance/care system's performance with respect to access, quality and cost. Moreover, the majority of adults who took part in the survey are expecting the next president, whoever it is needs to vastly improve the quality of our nation’s health insurance/care system.

To sum all this up, the Commonwealth Fund offered a synopsis. Karen Davis, their President commented by saying: "It is clear that our health care system isn't giving Americans the health care they need and deserve." "The disorganization and inefficiency are affecting Americans in their everyday lives.” She stressed that the American public is going to be demanding that our presidential candidates must seriously address health insurance/care reform with a priority to get things done soon. Their proposals must be meaningful. Now is the time for all Americans to be heard; “We need a better health insurance/care system.”

Not to leave the article in the negative, is always good to leave some more-positive constructive insight as to a resolve. As to what we should do toward a viable resolve, the Commonwealth Fund Commission has deeply researched and published a proposal called “A High Performance Health System”. The report outlines a structural foundation, block by block. It incorporates detailed strategies for creating an “organized, efficient health insurance/care system while simultaneously improving care and cutting costs.” (ScienceDaily). Look for it in an upcoming article entitled “Health Insurance/Care Overhaul”.
