Obama Health Insurance Insight, Pt.4 – Your choice is
coming soon.

Further, the new administrative costs could skyrocket up to
the $20 billion mark. Then health insurance/care would really
be out of reach, not only for the ill and older citizens, but
even worse for the families. Even McCain acknowledges that his
system may result in higher taxes for some employees. We simply
can’t “afford another four years of a health care [system] that
does more to help the big drug and [health] insurance companies
than it does to lower costs for ordinary Americans.” As
President, Obama is determined to “make health care affordable
for every single American.” Under Obama’s administration,
health insurance premiums will be lowered by, as much as,
$2,500 each year for the typical American family. The focus
will be on "disease prevention, not just disease management”.
Administrative costs will be lowered by promoting a “a
paperless health care system”. Every American can be covered;
if they lose their job they can take their health insurance
with them. Employees, as well as businesses will get relief,
also. Obama’s plan will help them by “picking up the tab for
some of the most expensive illnesses.” All these things won’t
take any 20 years, or even 10 years. Obama commits to have
these things accomplished by the end of his first term in
office.
So, these are the health insurance/care choices that
Americans will have come fall.
1) You can either choose an extension of the
Bush plan, that already doesn’t work, or
2) “We can come together and say ‘enough is
enough’, we’re going to finally solve this problem once and for
all.”
In closing, Mr. Obama leaves us with these thoughts. He
doesn’t want to wake up in the coming years to see these same
problems just getting worse. He neither wants that for this
country nor for his children. He wants to see a country where
“every single American has health care when they need it, that
every senior has prescription drugs they can afford.” Parents
aren’t going to bed worried sick they won’t be able to afford
treatment for their sick children. The choice is coming soon –
working health insurance reform, or more of what we have now.
