Other larger initiates include shoring up our current employer-based health insurance situation and the creation of a massive public (government regulated) national exchange entity. The purpose of this exchange is to provide adequate and affordable health insurance coverage to all Americans who have no better options. Mr. O has always taken the stance of studying a situation carefully before any decisions of demolition. He finds no good reason to dissolve the elements that still function and can be restored. As such, we shouldn’t expect to see much change for consumers who currently carry health insurance that is working ok for them.

 

The same goes for employers who have stood faithful and strong in continuing support for the wellbeing of their workers. Times have been extremely difficult for most companies to continue funding 75% to 81% of the health insurance costs of their employees, even though those costs have been soaring through the roof. They will see little change at the onset but, eventually, they may get some relief. The government will step in to subsidize the more expensive treatments that tend to drive costs for the health insurance. and premium costs are expected to fall.

 

For those companies who’ve been overcome with these costs and forced to stop offering health insurance benefits to their employees, Mr. O is offering them a fair alternative.

 

These hard-pressed companies can choose to contribute into a ‘kitty’ to defray the government’s cost of providing health insurance elsewhere to these, also oppressed, employees. The precise amount of the assessment has yet to be announced.
