Inadequate Health Insurance Looms, Pt.1 –
Wake up! There’s 25 million people in trouble.
Twenty-five million Americans, haven’t we noticed? What is the
most common cause of personal bankruptcy in this country?
Hasn’t anyone noticed? The culprit is inadequate health
insurance, hasn’t anyone noticed? Whether you believe him
or not, Mr. Obama has repeatedly addressed adequate health
insurance standards for every American. It seems that Mr.
McCain has never ever addressed this crisis. This needs to be
a mandatory candidates’ debate topic that cannot be passed
off. What’s it gonna be; pussy-foot or substance? Why is this
so important right now? Because things are continuing to
worsen as we speak. More and more people are falling into the
sinkhole of inadequate health insurance.
That is today’s news. Guy Boulton has presented us with a fine
article, posted on
www.jsonline.com/, explaining
this worsening climate. Drawing from the years of study
performed by Jon Gabel of the National Opinion Research
Center at the University of Chicago. In a nutshell, Mr. Gabel
informs us that the cost of health insurance began to
soar during the George H. administration, slowed to moderate
during the Clinton years, than accelerated again during the
George W. administration. But this time, to unprecedented
levels. This trend has been noticed by most. The cancerous
trend that has creped in, meanwhile, is that the quality,
indeed adequacy, has continually dwindled.
Until recently, the importance of the decline in health
insurance quality has been passed off as: “Well, they
don’t make things like they used to.” But, as of recent, more
and more Americans have found themselves engulfed into extreme
hardships they had never imagined. Like lemmings, Americans
are falling off the cliff one by one without ever seeing it
coming.
