Medical Professionals Like Obama, Pt.2 – The wisdom of
social responsibility.

So those Americans who want to keep all of their wealth and
also punish these people without health insurance will only get
half of their wish. That patient will suffer greatly.
Unfortunately for everyone though, the treatment of this dying
person will cost the community many times over the small amount
needed to have saved this woman’s life in the first place. Over
time, our nation has become more and more tolerant of selfish
attitudes which have no regard for any one else. This trend has
grown with both sides – the have’s and the have-not’s alike.
We’ve become a nation who likes to bash other countries and
beat them up over human rights violations and have the gall to
tell them they need to be more like us. Meanwhile, the world
looks on and abhors our hypocrisy. We allow our people to get
sick and die so we can hoard all of our individual wealth. To
say that all American’s with no health insurance are load-outs
and deserve what they get is a sophomoric cop-out. One could
not arrive at that conclusion by reasoning at an adult level.
45.7 million people without health insurance cannot easily be
explained away.
Fortunately, most Americans are not so blinded by greed and
are stepping up to address this unhealthy attitude toward
health insurance. More and more Americans are realizing the
seriousness of tolerating selfish greed and are educated enough
to realize that our whole nation is suffering for it. Mr.
Obama’s campaign is aggressively tackling this issue head-on.
He knows better than to wait and see if the health
insurance/care crisis fixes itself. If shown the charts, even a
fifth-grader can see it won’t.
Congress is also working hard to mobilize a health
insurance/care plan as soon as they know who our next President
will be.
