Analyzing the Divergence, Pt.7 – To fix a
problem, pretend that it doesn’t exist – not!

Further, it is also reported that many of these people who
are paying for and have health insurance are worse off than
those with no health insurance. They thought they were doing
the right thing, than came the major illness that their
insurance wouldn’t cover. Because they had health insurance,
they couldn’t get help from the ‘safety net’.
The ‘safety net’ is a government provision that steps in for
emergencies when people have no health insurance. That’s why
all those ‘free-riders’ as well as legitimate poor people rely
on the ER for everything. Primarily, the ‘safety-net only helps
those with no health insurance. Believe it. This unfortunate
segment with inadequate health insurance are left to fend for
themselves against the health care giants who charge $1,200 for
a tetanus shot and the thousands of creative collection agents.
The plight of the ‘under-insured’ is the most common reason for
personal bankruptcy in our nation today. If Mr. McCain is
addressing this problem, it must be so vague that no one has
found it. There, again, no accountability.
For a more clear understanding of the studies, findings and
assessments of the ‘under-insured’, please refer to the
following article series’ entitled: “Health
Insurance Still Plummeting “, “Hidden
Dangers of Inadequate Health Insurance” and “Major
'Underinsured' Sector”.
Another issue of major importance is with the over 16
million ‘un-insurable’ Americans. These are people with
pre-existing and chronic health conditions. Right now, those
people are either flat-out denied or else offered health
insurance that won’t help them. Any high-risk policies
available either exclude the conditions mostly required by the
patient or else are priced way beyond that person’s financial
reach.
