N.C. Health Care Reflects Big Picture, Pt.1 -
Out-of-control fires on both sides.
Like everywhere else, North Carolina is face to face
between the rock and the ‘hard place’ (fuel prices vs. health
insurance). It’s scary when a normally prosperous nation finds
itself overgrown in the brambles of eight years of extreme
neglect. When forced in to survival mode reasoning, the most
difficult task is prioritizing. Do we slug more whiskey to
kill the immediate pain or do we aggravate the immediate pain
by meticulously removing individual thorns. This picture has
become clear at the North Carolina level but, if it were
possible to step back far enough to see the much larger
picture of the entire nation, we would see it looks much the
same. Problem is, we’re left with only trying to envision it
all because we’re all stuck in the middle of it. Our nation’s
health insurance/care system has been unkempt for at least
eight years now and is so overgrown with weeds that it can’t
be salvaged. If this sounds like opinion, it is; the opinion
of 82% of out nation. For the numbers, please refer to the
article entitled: “Sweeping Demands on Health Care, Pt.2 –
What does America really want?” We can’t afford to lose sight
of the health insurance crises just because of a fuel crises!
With the fall of AIG, we are alerted that, as bad as things
are already, the health insurance foundation is crumbling and
things could get much worse quickly. Ignorance in voting
choices are as lethal as a fire on the first floor. We must
understand the health insurance/crises and base our voting
choices on how they address this crises.
