Bush’s Report Card, Pt.2 – Parent or Guardians, please
respond.
Previous…
Our President IS responsible for the wellbeing of ALL of our
population including health insurance and, most certainly, this
is the most critical time for our nation to demand that of our
next president. Because we didn’t do that four years ago, this
is what we’ve got. From the 2007 US Census Report:
1) (D -) For the first time, our citizens have suffered a
negative economy while our nation ‘appeared’ to have a positive
economy. No wonder ordinary people don’t understand economics –
our leaders are even more lost. Health insurance is out the
door.
2) (D -) 816,000 more of our citizens have fallen into
poverty, just in one year. Half a million of then were
children! We have now (as of 2007) climbed to a staggering 5.7
million poverty-stricken citizens living in poverty. Shocking
report for such a prosperous nation with equal opportunity.
3) 3) (D -) For the first time on record, for the last 7
years our great nation has suffered an ‘economy going
backward’. This has taken a great toll in the area of health
insurance.
4) 4) (F) 7.2 million more of our citizens had joined the
dismal ranks of the 47 million Americans without health
insurance. What are we to make of Mr. McCain’s statement that
our nation has achieved ‘great progress’? Go figure.
“Dear Parent or Guardian: We are becoming concerned that
little George has shown little progress in his work
assignments. Particularly troubling, are the areas of
leadership, health insurance and other social responsibilities.
Perhaps he is confused by the two unassociated definitions
given in the Funk & Wagnalls’ for the term ‘leader’. The proper
context implied for his responsibilities should have been ‘One
who acts as a guiding force’. It appears he has taken the
lesser-implied meaning, which says ‘A pipe for draining…’, such
as a sewer pipe. We suggest that he be removed from this
‘typical class’ setting and be enrolled in a ‘special’ setting
where he can receive tutoring more focused on how to understand
a ‘typical class’ environment. Perhaps your health insurance
benefits are comprehensive enough to help cover some of the
great expense of this challenge.”
